HoheAcht PASIO TERENO

The PASIO TERENO from HoheAcht, launched in 2022, is a versatile e-bike that, at a price of 4,299 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. It offers an impressive combination of performance, comfort and technical features, making it suitable for both daily commuting and longer rides. With a maximum permissible weight of 150 kg and a kerb weight of 24 kg, it is robust and sturdily built.

At the heart of the PASIO TERENO is the Shimano Steps DU-EP8 mid-drive motor, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h and, with a torque of 85 Nm, delivers powerful support both off-road and on the road. The integrated battery, with a capacity of 630 Wh, ensures a reasonable range and is charged via the Shimano Steps EC-E6002 charger at 2 A. The Shimano Steps SC-E5003 display provides the rider with all the necessary information at a glance.

Safety and control are ensured by Shimano’s hydraulic disc brakes, featuring a four-piston braking system at the front (BR-M7120) and a two-piston system at the rear (BR-M7100). The Shimano SLX BL-M7100 brake levers are ergonomically designed and offer precise control over braking force. The 180 mm brake discs (VR SM-RT64 at the front and HR RT-EM600 at the rear) are fitted with Centre Lock, which ensures additional stability and easy maintenance.

The drivetrain consists of a Shimano SLX 12-speed derailleur (RD-M7100) with the matching SL-M7100 shifter, offering a wide gear range, supported by an SRAM Eagle 12-speed cassette (CS-PG-1210) with 11–50 teeth. Power is transmitted via a robust SRAM SX Eagle 12 S chain.

Comfort is ensured by an SR Suntour MOBIE25-AIR suspension fork with 100 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs bumps. The ergonomic Selle Royal Essenza Plus saddle, combined with the Kalloy – HoheAcht suspension seatpost, offers additional comfort on longer rides. The handlebars are also from Kalloy – HoheAcht, made from aluminium, and with a width of 640 mm and a rise of 25 mm, they provide a comfortable riding position.

Lighting is provided by Herrmans components: the H-Black MR8 LED front light ensures good visibility with 180 lumens, whilst the integrated H-Cargo rear light with parking light function ensures visibility in road traffic. Practical features such as the AtranVelo luggage rack with a load capacity of up to 27 kg, SKS mudguards and an ABUS lock round off the equipment package.

The PASIO TERENO is fitted with Mach1 Trucky 30 rims and Schwalbe Al Grounder tyres in the size 27.5'' x 2.35'', which ensure good traction and stability. The Formula industrial-grade hubs contribute to the bike’s durability and reliability. Overall, the PASIO TERENO offers a balanced combination of technology, comfort and functionality, making it an attractive option for e-bike enthusiasts.
