HoheAcht AMO VILAGO

The AMO VILAGO from HoheAcht, launched in 2023, is an e-bike priced at 3,699 EUR, placing it in the mid-range price segment. The bike’s frame is made of aluminium and the maximum load capacity is 140 kg, which indicates a robust construction.

The model is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the VR BR-MT200 and HR BR-MT200 models – which ensure reliable braking power. The brake levers are also by Shimano and are made of steel, featuring a 3-finger design. The front and rear brake discs have a diameter of 180 mm and are secured using the Centre Lock system.

The gear system is a Shimano Steps Nexus SG-C7000 with 5 speeds and a freewheel, operated via a Shimano Nexus SL-C7000 gear lever. This hub gear system offers simple and low-maintenance operation. The suspension fork is an SR Suntour XCM32 with 100 mm of travel, which provides additional comfort on uneven terrain.

Lighting is provided by a Herrmans H-Black MR8 LED front light with an output of 3.3 W and a brightness of 180 lumens, as well as a Herrmans H-Cargo rear light with an integrated parking light. Both lights are specifically designed for e-bikes.

The pedals are made from aluminium with PP by Marwi, whilst the crankset consists of a Shimano Steps chainring with 38 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC chain, which has been specially developed for e-bikes. The handlebars and stem are from Kalloy – HoheAcht and are made of aluminium, ensuring stability and lightness.

The bike rides on Mach1 Trucky 30 rims fitted with Continental CONTACT Cruiser tyres in size 27.5'' x 2.4''. This combination offers a good balance between grip and comfort. The hubs feature industrial-grade bearings, with the front hub from Formula and the rear hub from Shimano Nexus.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Nuvola model, mounted on a suspension seatpost from Kalloy – HoheAcht. Powder-coated aluminium mudguards from ChingChern protect against splashes, whilst the AtranVelo luggage rack can carry a load of up to 27 kg.

The AMO VILAGO is powered by the Shimano Steps DU-EP600 mid-drive motor, delivering 85 Nm of torque and providing assistance up to 25 km/h. The integrated battery has a capacity of 504 Wh, providing sufficient power for long rides. The display is a Shimano Steps SC-EN600, which features Bluetooth and ANT Private connectivity.

The specification is rounded off by an ABUS lock for added security and a sturdy kickstand from Ursus. The AMO VILAGO thus combines high-quality components with a well-thought-out design, making it ideal for comfortable and safe rides in urban environments.
