Hercules Viverty R7

The 2020 Hercules Viverty R7 is a reliable touring bike which, at a price of 799 euros, represents an attractive option for leisure and everyday cyclists. The bike’s frame is made from AL 6061 aluminium, which ensures a good balance between stability and weight. With a total weight of 19 kg and a maximum load capacity of 135 kg, the Viverty R7 is robust enough to safely carry both the rider and additional luggage.

The Viverty R7 is equipped with a range of components designed for comfort and functionality. The Tektro V-brakes (model 855AL-EN) offer reliable braking performance, whilst the Tektro CL-530TS brake levers with Kraton inserts ensure a comfortable grip. The 7-speed gear system is controlled via Shimano Revoshifter, enabling simple and intuitive operation. The rigid steel fork with 63 mm of travel contributes to the bike’s stability.

For lighting, the bike is fitted with a Comus DHL-511 LED front light, which provides up to 15 lux, and a Comus ML-009 LED rear light with a parking light function. These ensure sufficient visibility in the dark. The Viverty R7 is fitted with Schwalbe Big Ben tyres (50-622), which provide additional puncture protection thanks to their K-Guard technology.

Other features of the bike include a Suntour SCX-S38 crankset, a Shimano 19T sprocket and a KMC Z1 drivetrain. The Kalloy AL-080 handlebars, with a 40° backsweep and a 55 mm rise, together with the Ergo 2D grips, offer a comfortable riding position. The adjustable A-head stem and semi-integrated headset allow for individual adjustments to suit the rider’s preferences.

The Viverty R7 also features practical equipment such as an i-Rack aluminium luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap, painted steel mudguards and a sturdy Standwell SW-MA027J centre stand. The Velo VL-8088 saddle, with tension and compression springs, and the Kalloy SP-359 seatpost contribute to riding comfort. Overall, the Hercules Viverty R7 offers a balanced blend of functionality and comfort, ideal for everyday use and longer rides.
