Hercules Versa R7

The "Versa R7" model from Hercules, launched in 2023, is a versatile bicycle that impresses with its functional features and robust construction. Priced at 999 EUR, it offers excellent value for money. The frame is made from Fold Series aluminium (AL 6061), which not only gives the bike stability but also ensures good handling, with a weight of 15 kg. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, providing ample space for both the rider and luggage.

The Versa R7’s braking system is fitted with Tektro V-brakes, mounted at both the front and rear. The model also features a coaster brake. The brake levers, Tektro HD-275, and the front brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm ensure reliable braking performance. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed with a coaster brake, operated by the Shimano Revoshifter, which enables smooth gear changes.

The fork is made of steel and is rigid, with 63 mm of travel. Visibility on the road is ensured by the battery-powered lights from Busch & Müller: the Ixon Pure B front light and the Toplight Flat Permanent rear light. The spec is rounded off by Wellgo pedals and a Prowheel crankset.

The Kalloy HB-RB11 handlebars, with a 6° backsweep and 30 mm rise, offer a comfortable riding experience, whilst the grips are ergonomically designed and feature an integrated clamp. The adjustable A-Head stem and semi-integrated headset contribute to the bike’s adaptability. The DDM-1 rims are fitted with Impac Big Pack tyres, which ensure good road holding thanks to TwinSkin technology.

The Versa R7 features a Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle, mounted on a Kalloy seatpost. Additional comfort and functionality are provided by the SKS B55 plastic mudguard, a plastic chain guard and a Standwell two-leg kickstand. The i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options.

With a reach of 421 mm, a stack of 352 mm and a wheelbase of 980 mm, the Versa R7 is designed with balanced geometry. The head tube angle is 72 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees, which contributes to stability and comfort whilst riding. Overall, the Hercules Versa R7 is a well-equipped bike that is suitable for both everyday use and longer rides.
