Hercules Valencia R7

The 2023 Hercules Valencia R7 is a trekking bike characterised by its robust construction and comfortable features. Priced at 699 EUR, it offers good value for money for cyclists who prioritise quality and functionality. The frame is made from AL 6061 aluminium from the Trekking Series, giving the bike a stable yet lightweight structure. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 17 kg.

The Valencia R7’s braking system comprises Tektro V-brakes at both the front and rear, supplemented by a coaster brake, which provides additional safety whilst riding. The brake levers are also from Tektro and are specifically designed for V-brakes. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Nexus 7-speed system, operated via a Revoshifter, which enables simple and reliable gear changes.

The SR Suntour 8V fork, with 40 mm of travel, provides additional comfort on uneven terrain. In terms of lighting, the bike is fitted with an AXA Ecoline LED front light, which provides up to 15 lux, and an AXA Slim Steady LED rear light with a parking light function, which increases visibility at night.

Further features include Wellgo pedals, a Suntour SCX crankset with a length of 170 mm, a Shimano 19T sprocket and a KMC Z1 drivetrain. The handlebars are made of aluminium and offer comfortable ergonomics with a 37° backsweep and a 28 mm rise. The grips are ergonomically shaped and feature an integrated clamp.

The Valencia R7 is also fitted with VeeTire City CruZ tyres, which ensure good road holding. The rims are DBM-1 type and the spokes are made of black steel with a diameter of 2 mm. The saddle is a Selle Royal Freeway model, which ensures comfort even on longer rides.

Practical features such as an i-Rack luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap, a Standwell centre-mount kickstand and plastic mudguards round off the overall package. The AXA Mach1 chain guard protects the chain from dirt and the elements. The bike’s geometry, with a reach of 419 mm, a stack of 645 mm, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees and a head tube angle of 71 degrees, ensures a balanced riding position. With a wheelbase of 1116 mm, the Valencia R7 offers a stable ride in a variety of conditions.
