Hercules Valencia Lite R7

The "Valencia Lite R7" model from Hercules, released in 2023, is a trekking bike that stands out for its combination of functionality and comfort. The frame is made from AL 6061 aluminium, which not only gives the bike a robust structure but also contributes to its relatively low weight of 16 kg. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, which offers sufficient capacity for everyday use.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro V-brakes at both the front and rear, supplemented by a coaster brake. The brake levers are also from Tektro and are specifically designed for V-brakes. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub gear system with a Shimano Revoshifter as the gear lever, enabling simple and reliable gear selection.

The rigid steel fork ensures direct and precise steering. The lighting system consists of an AXA Ecoline LED front light with a brightness of up to 15 lux and an AXA Slim Steady LED rear light with a parking light function, ensuring good visibility in traffic.

The bike is fitted with Wellgo pedals, a Suntour SCX crankset and a Shimano 19T sprocket. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z1 chain. The handlebars are a Trekking-AL model with ergonomic grips and an adjustable A-Head stem, which allows for a comfortable riding position.

The tyres are Schwalbe Citizen tyres with K-Guard technology, available in 26" and 28" sizes. The rims are DBM-1 type and the front and rear hubs are from Shimano, with the rear hub incorporating the 7-speed derailleur.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Freeway City model, mounted on a Kalloy seatpost. Additional features include plastic mudguards, a chain guard, a Standwell centre-mount kickstand and an i-Rack luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap.

In terms of geometry, the bike has a seat tube length of 430 mm, a head tube angle of 72 degrees and a seat tube angle also of 72 degrees. The wheelbase is 1047 mm, which contributes to a stable ride. Priced at 799 EUR, the Hercules Valencia Lite R7 offers good value for money for everyday use in urban and trekking environments.
