Hercules Valencia Lite R7

The 2021 “Valencia Lite R7” model from Hercules offers a balanced combination of functionality and comfort at a price of 799 EUR. The frame is made from AL 6061 aluminium trekking alloy, giving the bike a sturdy yet lightweight structure. Weighing 16 kg and with a maximum load capacity of 135 kg, the bike is robust enough to meet a variety of requirements.

The bike is fitted with Tektro V-brakes (model 837AL-EN) and matching brake levers (Tektro 374AP), which ensure reliable braking performance. The 7-speed gear system is operated via a Shimano Revoshifter, allowing for simple and effective gear selection. The rigid steel fork, with 63 mm of travel, contributes to the bike’s stability.

For lighting, the Valencia Lite R7 is fitted with an AXA Ecoline LED front light, which provides up to 15 lux, and an AXA Slim Steady LED rear light with a parking light function mounted on the luggage rack. The pedals are by Wellgo, whilst the crankset is from Suntour (model SCX-S38). Power is transmitted via a KMC Z1 chain, and the sprocket has 19 teeth.

The handlebars are Trekking AL with a 37° backsweep and a 28 mm rise, fitted with ergonomic Ergo 2D grips. The stem is adjustable, allowing for individual customisation of the riding position. The headset is semi-integrated, which contributes to stability and steering precision.

The rims are DBM-1 type and the tyres are Schwalbe Citizen, size 42-622, with K-Guard protection. The front hub is fitted with a Shimano DH-C3000-3 hub dynamo and the rear hub with a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub with a coaster brake. The spokes are made of black steel with a diameter of 2 mm.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Freeway City model, mounted on a Kalloy SP-602 aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 300 mm. The saddle clamp is a black quick-release (QR) model. Plastic mudguards with V-struts protect against dirt, whilst the AXA Mach1 chain guard covers the chain.

A Standwell SW-MA027J centre stand ensures stability when stationary, and the aluminium luggage rack with i-Rack system and spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options. With a reach of 392 mm and a stack of 592 mm, the Valencia Lite R7 is well-proportioned for comfortable riding in an urban environment.
