Hercules Urbanico I-8

The Hercules Urbanico I-8, launched in 2023, is a modern e-bike model that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. Priced at 2,499 EUR, it offers a wide range of features tailored to the needs of urban cyclists. The frame is from the eUrban R25 series, made from robust AL6061 aluminium, and contributes to a total weight of 24 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is up to 135 kg.

The bike is designed for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm in height. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, fitted to both the front and rear, ensure reliable braking performance with 180 mm brake discs. The Shimano Acera RDM-360 8-speed derailleur allows for flexible adaptation to different riding conditions, controlled via the Shimano Deore SL-M315 shifter.

The rigid aluminium fork and the adjustable A-Head stem provide stability and comfort. The lighting comprises a Hercules front light with up to 50 lux and a Comus rear light featuring COB LED technology, ensuring good visibility in road traffic.

The drive is powered by the Bafang H600 motor with 250 watts of power and 30 Nm of torque, whilst the 410 Wh battery provides sufficient energy for longer rides. The Bafang DP E16X display offers intuitive operation and control over the motor assistance.

Other features include the comfortable Velo City VL-6336 saddle, a Kalloy seatpost with 45 mm of travel, and high-quality Schwalbe Big Ben tyres with GreenGuard technology. The Monkey Load luggage rack, featuring a system carrier and spring-loaded flap, makes it easy to carry luggage.

The Urbanico I-8 is fitted with SKS Bluemels mudguards and features a chain guard as well as a Pletscher Optima Flex kickstand. An ergonomic trekking handlebar with integrated clamping and an adjustable stem round off the well-thought-out design, which offers both comfort and functionality for everyday city cycling.
