Hercules Urbanico I-10

The "Urbanico I-10" from Hercules, launched in 2023, is an urban e-bike that stands out for its robust construction and well-thought-out features. Priced at 2,799 EUR, it is aimed at users who value quality and functionality. The bike’s frame is from the eUrban R25 series, made from robust AL6061 aluminium, which contributes to a total weight of 24 kg. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 135 kg, which is sufficient for a wide range of uses.

The bike is designed for riders between 170 cm and 175 cm in height. Road safety is ensured by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the UR-300 model – with 160 mm brake discs at both the front and rear. The gear system is a Shimano Deore RD-M5120 with 10 speeds, controlled via the Shimano Deore SL-M4100 shifter, which enables precise and reliable gear selection.

The rigid aluminium fork ensures direct power transmission and a good riding feel. The Urbanico I-10 is lit by a Hercules front light providing up to 50 lux, as well as a Comus RZ-100 rear light with COB LED technology, which ensures good visibility. Power is provided by a Bafang H600 motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 30 Nm. The battery is a Bafang Intube with a capacity of 410 Wh, which is charged using a Bafang 2A charger. The Bafang DP E16X display provides the rider with all the necessary information at a glance.

Rider comfort is ensured by a Selle Royal Essenza saddle and a Kalloy SP-383 seatpost with 45 mm of travel. The handlebars are an aluminium trekking model with a 15-degree backsweep and a width of 640 mm, which allows for a comfortable riding position. The tyres are Schwalbe Big Ben with K-Guard technology in size 50-622, which ensure good road holding.

In addition, the Urbanico I-10 features practical fittings such as plastic mudguards from SKS Bluemels, a Pletscher Optima Flex kickstand and a Monkey Load luggage rack with a system carrier and spring-loaded flap. The chain guard and the adjustable A-Head stem design round off the well-thought-out design. Overall, the Urbanico I-10 offers a balanced combination of functionality, comfort and safety for urban use.
