Hercules Uno R7

The "Uno R7" from Hercules, launched in 2023, is a city bike designed for urban use and, at a price of 799 EUR, represents an attractive offer. The frame is made from City Series aluminium (AL 6061), giving the bike a robust yet lightweight construction. With a total weight of 19 kg and a maximum load capacity of 135 kg, it is well suited to everyday use in the city.

The Uno R7’s braking system comprises Tektro V-brakes at both the front and rear, supplemented by a coaster brake. The brake levers are also from Tektro, model CL-530TS, and offer a comfortable grip thanks to their Kraton inserts. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed with a coaster brake, operated via a Shimano Revoshifter. This combination ensures reliable and easy operation in a wide range of riding conditions.

The SR Suntour 8V fork, with 40 mm of travel, helps absorb shocks on uneven roads. Lighting is provided by an AXA Ecoline LED front light with up to 15 lux and an AXA Slim Steady LED rear light with a parking light function, ensuring safety when cycling at dusk or at night.

The Uno R7 is fitted with Schwalbe Delta Cruiser Plus tyres, available in 26" and 28" sizes, which ensure good road holding and puncture resistance. The rims are DBM-1 type and the hubs are from Shimano; the front hub is a Shimano DH-C3000-3 QR model and the rear hub is the Shimano Nexus 7-speed with a coaster brake.

The bike’s handlebars are a Trekking AL model with a 25.4 mm diameter, a 37° backsweep and a 28 mm rise, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The grips are ergonomically shaped and feature an integrated clamp. The adjustable A-Head stem allows for individual adjustments to suit the rider.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Freeway City model, supported by a Kalloy SP-383W seatpost with a length of 300 mm and a diameter of Ø30.0 mm. This setup provides additional comfort on longer rides. An i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap serves as a luggage rack and offers practical transport options.

Additional features such as plastic mudguards, an AXA Mach1 chain guard and a Standwell centre-mount kickstand round off the Uno R7. With a seat tube length of 480 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees, a seat tube angle of 69 degrees and a wheelbase of 1145 mm, the bike offers well-balanced geometry for comfortable city riding.
