Hercules Uno R7

The 2020 Hercules Uno R7 is a city bike that stands out for its comfortable features and practical, low step-through frame. The frame is made of aluminium (AL 6061), which contributes to a total weight of 19 kg and allows for a maximum load capacity of 135 kg. Safe riding is ensured by the Tektro V-brakes (model 837AL-EN) in combination with the Tektro CL-530TS brake levers, which feature a Kraton insert. The 7-speed gear system is operated via a Shimano Revoshifter, ensuring ease of use.

The SR Suntour fork, with 40 mm of suspension travel, offers additional comfort on uneven city roads. Lighting is provided by the AXA Ecoline LED front light, with a light output of up to 15 lux, and the AXA Slim Steady LED rear light on the luggage rack, which features a parking light function. The bike’s drivetrain consists of a combination of the Suntour SCX-S38 crankset, a Shimano 19T sprocket and the KMC Z1 chain.

The trekking-style handlebars, with a diameter of 25.4 mm and a 37° backsweep, combined with the Ergo 2D grips, offer comfortable ergonomics. The adjustable A-head stem allows the rider to customise their riding position. The semi-integrated steering system and DBM-1 rims contribute to the bike’s stable and reliable performance. The Schwalbe Delta Cruiser Plus tyres (47-622) offer good road holding and puncture protection.

In addition, the model is fitted with a Shimano hub dynamo on the front wheel (DH-C3000-3) and a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub with a coaster brake on the rear wheel. The Selle Royal Freeway City saddle ensures comfort on longer rides, supported by the Kalloy seatpost, which is 300 mm long and 30.0 mm in diameter. The quick-release saddle clamp allows for easy adjustment of the seat height.

The Uno R7 is also fitted with plastic mudguards with V-struts, an AXA Mach1 chain guard, a Standwell Centre kickstand and an i-Rack aluminium luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. These features make it ideal for everyday use in the city. The bike is available for €799 and offers a good balance between functionality and comfort.
