Hercules Robert/a R7 Active Plus

The “Robert/a R7 Active Plus” model from Hercules, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking/city bike priced at 2,799 EUR. The frame is made of aluminium (AL 6061), which gives the bike stability and lightness. With a maximum load capacity of 135 kg and a kerb weight of 27 kg, it is robust enough to tackle even more demanding rides.

The Magura HS-11 hydraulic rim brakes ensure reliable braking performance, whilst the Shimano Revoshifter ensures easy and precise gear changes. The SR Suntour CR85-E25 P fork, with 63 mm of adjustable travel, offers comfort on uneven terrain. Safety on the road is ensured by the Comus F16 LED front light, delivering up to 20 lux, and the Comus R-232EB rear light mounted on the luggage rack.

The bike is fitted with non-slip Wellgo C-157 pedals and features an FSA CK-220 crankset and a KMC Z1EHX drivetrain. The Kalloy Tour handlebars, with a 37° backsweep and a width of 660 mm, together with the Ergo 2D grips, ensure comfortable handling. The stem is adjustable, allowing for individual customisation of the riding position.

The spec is rounded off by DBM-2 rims and Supero 50-622 tyres with Optima Safe puncture protection, ensuring a safe ride. The front hub is a Formula OV-31 with a quick-release mechanism, whilst the rear wheel is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub and a coaster brake. The DDK City DDK-225A2 saddle offers comfort, supported by a rigid Kalloy SP-F102 seatpost.

Other practical features include plastic mudguards with V-struts, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, a Standwell SW-RA031J kickstand and an AXA battery lock. The i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap allows for easy transport of luggage.

The Robert/a R7 Active Plus is powered by an Active Plus GEN3 motor with 250 watts and 50 Nm of torque, combined with a Bosch carrier-type battery with a capacity of 500 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display offers intuitive operation, whilst the Bosch 2A charger ensures efficient charging. With a reach of 384 mm and a stack of 657 mm, the bike is ergonomically designed to optimise comfort and performance.
