Hercules Robert/a I-R5

The "Robert/a I-R5" model from Hercules, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-trekking bike priced at 4299 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from the robust eTrekking R29b-Series AL6061 aluminium alloy and is designed for a maximum permissible weight of up to 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg. The bike is suitable for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm in height.

Safety is ensured by Tektro T-390 hydraulic disc brakes, with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear brake discs. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 5-speed system with a coaster brake, operated by the Shimano SL-C7000-5 gear lever. The front fork, an SR Suntour NEX-E25, offers 63 mm of travel and is both adjustable and equipped with a lockout.

For lighting, Hercules has fitted a front light producing up to 50 lux, manufactured by Hercules itself, and a Busch & Müller LED rear light. The spec also includes Marwi SP828 aluminium pedals, a Hercules EC40 crankset, and a Gates CDX sprocket and drive. The handlebars are aluminium Trekking Zecure with a 35° backsweep, whilst the adjustable stem is a Zecure UP2+ A-head.

The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon GreenGuard, size 50-622, fitted to Rodi Viper 19 rims. The hubs are by Shimano: the HB-TC500 model at the front and the SG-C7002-5CD model at the rear. The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Sport Woman, fitted to a Limotec S1 seatpost with 50 mm of travel.

Additional features include Curana Apollo 60 aluminium mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and an ABUS IT3 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder. The luggage rack is a Monkey Load system rack with a spring-loaded flap.

The bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Line Smart System motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 75 Nm. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia 100 display provides the rider with all the essential information.

The bike’s geometry offers a comfortable riding position with a reach of 412 mm and a stack of 647 mm. The seat tube length is 450 mm, the top tube measures 610 mm, the head tube angle is 70 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees. Other dimensions include a head tube length of 160 mm, a chainstay length of 495 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 60 mm and a crank length of 170 mm. The overall wheelbase is 1171 mm.
