Hercules Robert/a I-F5

The “Robert/a I-F5” model from Hercules, released in 2024, is a high-quality e-trekking bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. Priced at 4299 EUR, it offers a wide range of features that make it a reliable companion for both urban and rural cycling. The frame is made from the eTrekking R29b Series in AL6061 aluminium, giving the bike a solid yet lightweight construction. The maximum load capacity is 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

The bike is designed for riders between 170 cm and 175 cm in height. It is fitted with Tektro T-390 hydraulic disc brakes, fitted to both the front and rear, with the front brake disc measuring 180 mm in diameter and the rear 160 mm. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 5-speed with a freewheel, operated via the Shimano SL-C7000-5 shift lever. The SR Suntour NEX-E25 fork offers 63 mm of travel and is adjustable and fitted with a lockout.

Lighting is provided by a Hercules FS-50 front light with up to 50 lux and a Busch & Müller LED rear light. The Marwi SP828 aluminium pedals and the Hercules EC40 crankset complete the drivetrain, which features a 30T sprocket via the Gates CDX system. The aluminium Trekking Zecure handlebars have a 35° backsweep and are fitted with Ergo grips featuring an integrated clamp. The Zecure UP2+ stem is adjustable, allowing for personalised customisation.

The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon GreenGuard 50-622, fitted to Rodi Viper 19 rims. The hubs are by Shimano, with the front hub bearing the model number HB-TC500 and the rear hub SG-C7000-5D. The Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Sport Woman saddle, combined with the Limotec S1 seatpost, ensures a high level of comfort. Curana Apollo mudguards, a Horn Catena chain guard and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand complete the specification.

A particular highlight is the Bosch Performance Line Smart System motor, delivering 250 watts of power and 75 Nm of torque. The battery – a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 625 Wh – ensures a sufficient range and is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia 100 display provides the rider with all the necessary information at a glance.

The frame geometry is well thought out: the seat tube length is 490 mm, the reach is 412 mm and the stack is 647 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, the seat tube angle 73 degrees, whilst the chainstay length is 495 mm. The wheelbase measures 1171 mm in total, which gives the bike a stable ride. With these features, the “Robert/a I-F5” is a versatile e-trekking bike that is suitable for both everyday use and longer rides.
