Hercules Robert/a Deluxe I-R8

The “Robert/a Deluxe I-R8” model from Hercules, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike that is ideal for urban use. Priced at 3,499 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features that ensure both comfort and performance. The frame is made of aluminium, specifically AL 6061, and is designed as a trekking city frame with a Powertube and tapered design. The maximum load capacity is 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 28 kg.

Safety is ensured by a Shimano hydraulic disc brake system, comprising MT200 brakes and BL-MT201 brake levers, complemented by a 180 mm front brake disc. The fork is an SR Suntour NEX-E25 HLO with 63 mm of travel, which is adjustable and features a lockout function. The lighting comprises a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light with up to 40 lux and a Comus ICR-11 rear light integrated into the frame.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano Revoshifter gear lever, which works in conjunction with a Samox EC38 crankset and a Shimano 19T sprocket. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z610 chain. The handlebars are an aluminium Ergo City model, 640 mm wide with a 35° backsweep, complemented by ergonomic Herrmans Clik grips. The adjustable A-head stem and semi-integrated headset ensure a comfortable riding position.

The Rodi Web 19 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres, which feature GreenGuard technology. The front hub is a Shimano MT200 with a quick-release mechanism, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed with a coaster brake. The saddle is a Selle Bassano Suprema City model, mounted on a Limotec S1-Z seatpost with 50 mm of travel.

Additional features include Curana Apollo 60 aluminium mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand. For security, an ABUS Pro Shield 5850 lock is integrated, which is keyed to the same key as the battery lock. The i-Rack luggage rack features an R8 Design system carrier with a spring-loaded flap.

The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Active Plus GEN3 motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 50 Nm. The Bosch Powertube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface for controlling the e-bike.
