Hercules Robert/a Deluxe I-F8 500

The "Robert/a Deluxe I-F8 500" model from Hercules, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike designed for urban use and longer trekking tours. Priced at 3299 EUR, it offers a solid range of features and modern technology. The frame is made of aluminium, specifically AL 6061, and is designed as a trekking city frame with Powertube integration and a tapered design. The bike has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg and weighs 28 kg itself.

Safety is ensured by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the MT200 model – combined with Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and a 180 mm front brake disc (SM-RT10). Gear changes are controlled via a Shimano Revoshifter, whilst the SR Suntour NEX-E25 HLO fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures comfort on uneven terrain. This fork is adjustable and features a lockout function.

The lighting comprises a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light, which provides up to 40 lux, and a Comus ICR-11 rear light integrated into the frame. The pedals are made of aluminium (Marwi SP828), and the crankset is from Samox (EC38). The drivetrain is complemented by a KMC Z610 chain, whilst the Shimano sprocket has 19 teeth.

The handlebars are ergonomic Ergo City aluminium bars, measuring 640 mm in width and featuring a 35° backsweep. The Herrmans Clik grips are ergonomically shaped and feature an integrated clamping mechanism. The stem is adjustable and the headset is semi-integrated.

The Rodi Web 19 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres, which provide enhanced puncture protection thanks to GreenGuard technology. The hubs are by Shimano: the MT200 model with a quick-release mechanism at the front and the Nexus 8-speed hub with a freewheel at the rear. Black Niro spokes with a diameter of 2 mm complete the bike.

Comfort is ensured by the Selle Bassano Suprema City saddle mounted on a Limotec S1-Z seatpost with a 10 mm offset and 50 mm travel. The saddle is secured using a black quick-release clamp. Aluminium mudguards from Curana (Apollo 60) protect against splashing water, whilst a Horn Catena 18 chain guard covers the chain.

Additional features include a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand, an ABUS Pro Shield 5850 lock with a keyed-alike battery lock, and an i-Rack System R8 luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. Power is provided by a third-generation Bosch Active Plus motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 50 Nm. The battery is a Bosch Powertube with a capacity of 500 Wh, controlled via the Bosch Intuvia display and charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The geometry is characterised by a reach of 419 mm and a stack of 675 mm.
