Hercules Rob Fold R8+

The "Rob Fold R8+" model from Hercules, launched in 2024, is a versatile and functional e-bike that is particularly well-suited to urban environments. Priced at 3,799 EUR, the bike offers a wide range of high-quality components and well-thought-out features. The frame is made from the robust eFold Series AL6061 aluminium alloy and contributes to a total weight of 25 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is 135 kg.

The e-bike is suitable for riders between 155 cm and 200 cm tall, making it a flexible choice for a wide range of users. Safety is ensured by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, with a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also from Tektro and offer reliable braking performance. The Shimano Nexus 8-speed gear system with coaster brake ensures smooth and straightforward gear changes.

The spec includes a rigid aluminium fork and an adjustable Satori UP2+ stem, which, together with the 620 mm wide aluminium touring handlebars and ergonomic grips, ensures comfortable handling. Power is provided by an Active Line Plus Smart System motor with 250 watts and 50 Nm of torque, which, together with the Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 545 Wh, ensures sufficient assistance over longer distances. The Bosch Intuvia 100 display offers simple controls and an overview of riding data.

For visibility on the road, a Hercules FS-50 front light with up to 50 lux and a Comus RZ-100 COB-LED rear light are fitted. The Schwalbe Big Ben Performance tyres with RaceGuard offer good grip and stability, whilst the Selle Royal Look-In Relaxed saddle and the Kalloy seatpost provide additional comfort. The Monkey Load luggage rack with spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options, supported by the sturdy Massload two-leg stand.

Further features such as the foldable Wellgo pedals, the Curana Apollo aluminium mudguards and the ABUS DR3 X-Plus lock round off the overall package. With balanced geometry defined by dimensions such as a wheelbase of 1070 mm, a seat tube length of 490 mm and a head tube angle of 72 degrees, the “Rob Fold R8+” offers a comfortable and safe riding experience.
