Hercules Rob Fold F8

The 2022 Hercules Rob Fold F8 is a versatile e-bike characterised by its robust yet lightweight construction. The frame is made from Aluminium Fold Urban, AL 6061, which not only gives the bike stability but also keeps its weight down to 22 kg. It is designed for a maximum rider weight of 135 kg, making it a solid choice for a wide range of riders.

The Rob Fold F8 is fitted with a powerful third-generation Active Plus motor, delivering 250 watts and a torque of 50 Nm. The motor is powered by a Bosch Standard battery with a capacity of 400 Wh, which, together with the Bosch Intuvia display, enables intuitive and user-friendly control. The Bosch 2A charger included in the scope of delivery ensures efficient charging of the battery.

Road safety is ensured by the Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes and the matching Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers. The front brake disc is a Shimano SM-RT10 with a diameter of 180 mm, ensuring reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are controlled via a Shimano Revoshifter, whilst the rigid aluminium forks ensure stability and steering precision.

The lighting system consists of a HERCULES FH 40 front light with a brightness of up to 40 lux and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light mounted on the luggage rack, ensuring good visibility in the dark. Other features include Wellgo pedals, an FSA CK-220 crankset, a Shimano 18T sprocket and a KMC Z1EHX drivetrain.

The handlebars are a Trekking AL model with a 31.8 mm diameter, a 37° backsweep and a 28 mm rise. The ergonomic grips with integrated clamping provide comfort on longer rides. The stem is adjustable and features an ‘All Up’ height adjustment, allowing for individual customisation to suit the rider.

The bike is fitted with DDM-1 rims and Schwalbe Big Apple tyres, which provide good puncture protection thanks to their RaceGuard technology. The front hub is fitted with a Shimano RM35 quick-release and CentreLock, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed with a freewheel.

The Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle and the Kalloy SP-DC1 seatpost provide additional comfort. Practical features such as SKS plastic mudguards, a Herrmans Slyde chain guard, a Massload CL-KA47 double-leg kickstand and an ABUS battery lock with a Plus cylinder round off the specification. The i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap provides space for luggage and makes the bike suitable for everyday use.
