Hercules Nizza F7 NL

The 2023 Hercules Nizza F7 NL is an e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and solid build quality. The frame is made from the eCity Series aluminium alloy, AL 6061, and provides a robust base for the bike, which has a total weight of 25 kg and a maximum rider weight of up to 135 kg. Priced at 2599 EUR, it is positioned in the mid-range price segment for e-bikes.

The Nizza F7 NL’s braking system consists of a combination of hydraulic disc brakes and a hydraulic rim brake. A Magura HS-11 brake is fitted at the front, whilst a Shimano MT200 brake is used at the rear. The brake levers, Shimano BL-MT201, ensure reliable braking performance. The brake discs have a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, ensuring effective deceleration.

The gear system is based on a Shimano Nexus 7-speed in-hub gear system with a freewheel, operated via a Shimano Revoshifter. This gear system offers a good range of gears for urban use and light touring. The SR Suntour CR85 fork, with 63 mm of travel, is adjustable and provides additional comfort on uneven roads.

In terms of lighting, the Nizza F7 NL is fitted with a Comus F16 LED front light, which provides up to 25 lux of brightness, and a Comus R99 LED rear light, which ensures visibility in traffic. The drivetrain consists of a KMC Z610 drivetrain, combined with an FSA CK-220 crankset and a Shimano 18T sprocket.

The handlebars are an aluminium touring model with a 37° backsweep, which allows for a comfortable riding position. The ergonomic grips with integrated clamping mechanism further enhance riding comfort. The stem is adjustable without tools, allowing for easy customisation to suit individual riding positions.

The bike is fitted with SUPERO Optima Safe tyres in size 40-622, mounted on DDM-2 rims. The hubs are from Formula (front) and Shimano Nexus (rear), ensuring reliable performance. The DDK City saddle and the Kalloy SP-F102 seatpost provide a comfortable ride.

Additional features include plastic mudguards, a Hesling Ride 1.3 chain guard, a Standwell rear stand and an AXA Solid Plus lock with ART2 certification. The Monkey Load luggage rack with system carrier and spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options.

Power is provided by an Active GEN3 motor with 250 watts of power and 40 Nm of torque, powered by a Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 400 Wh. The Bosch Purion display allows for easy control and monitoring of the electric assistance. A Bosch 2 A charger is also included.

With a reach of 397 mm, a stack of 681 mm, a seat tube length of 550 mm and a wheelbase of 1119 mm, the Nizza F7 NL offers balanced geometry for urban use and light touring. The head tube angle is 73 degrees, whilst the seat tube angle is 70 degrees, contributing to a comfortable and stable riding position.
