Hercules Montfoort I-F8

The "Montfoort I-F8" model from Hercules, launched in 2022, is a versatile e-bike that is ideal for use in urban traffic. The frame is made of aluminium, specifically AL 6061, and is designed as a trekking city frame with an integrated Powertube. The maximum permissible weight is 135 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 27 kg.

Safety is ensured by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the MT200 model – complemented by Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and a front brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm. Gear changes are controlled via a Shimano Revoshifter, which works in combination with a Shimano 18T sprocket. The drivetrain is supported by a KMC Z1EHX chain.

The suspension is provided by an SR Suntour NEX-E25 CTS fork with 63 mm of travel and a 15 mm thru-axle, ensuring a comfortable ride. Lighting is provided at the front by a HERCULES FH 40 LED light with up to 40 lux and at the rear by a Comus R-232EB luggage rack rear light.

The bike’s handlebars are a Kalloy Tour model made of aluminium with a 37° backsweep and a width of 660 mm. The grips are ergonomically shaped and feature an integrated clamp. The stem is adjustable without tools, allowing for individual customisation.

The Montfoort I-F8 is fitted with Supero tyres, which offer puncture protection, and are mounted on DDM-2 rims. The hubs are from Shimano, with a thru-axle at the front and a Nexus 8-speed hub at the rear. The saddle is a Comodoro City model, mounted on a Kalloy SP-383 seatpost with 45 mm of travel.

Additional features include SKS plastic mudguards, a closed Hesling Fluente chain guard, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and an AXA Solid Plus lock with ‘ART2’ certification. The luggage rack is an i-Rack system rack with a tension strap.

The e-bike is powered by a third-generation Bosch Active Plus motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 50 Nm. The battery is a Bosch Powertube with a capacity of 500 Wh, controlled via the Bosch Intuvia display. A Bosch 2A charger is also included in the package.
