Hercules Montfoort F7

The Montfoort F7 from Hercules from 2024 is a modern eCity bike that is characterised by its high-quality equipment and well thought-out design. The frame is made of eCity Series AL6061 aluminium alloy, which gives the bike a robust structure. With a weight of 25 kg and a permissible total weight of 135 kg, the Montfoort F7 is ideally suited for everyday use.

The bike is aimed at people between 170 cm and 175 cm tall. The hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano (MT200) ensure reliable braking performance with 180 mm brake discs at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The gears are a Shimano Nexus 7-speed with freewheel, which is operated via the Shimano SG-C3001-7 gear lever.

The SR Suntour NEX-E25 fork offers 63 mm of suspension travel and is adjustable, which improves riding comfort on uneven roads. Lighting is provided by a Hercules FS-50 front light with up to 50 lux and a Comus R-232 COB LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in traffic.

The drive is provided by a KMC Z610 chainset and an FSA CK-220 crankset, while the Shimano sprocket is equipped with 19 teeth. The handlebar is a Tour-AL model with a 37° backsweep and a width of 620 mm, which allows for a comfortable riding position. The stem is adjustable and has a length of 100 mm.

The tyres are Supero Optima Safe tyres in size 50-622, which are mounted on Strongman DDM-2 rims. The front hub is a Shimano HB-M4050 and the rear hub is a Shimano SG-C3001-7D. The Selle Royal Freeway City saddle together with the Kalloy suspension seat post provide additional comfort.

The Montfoort F7 is equipped with a Bosch Active Line Plus Smart System motor, which offers 250 watts of power and a torque of 50 Nm. The Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 400 Wh supplies the system with energy, which is monitored via the Bosch Intuvia 100 display. The charger delivers an output of 2A.

Additional features such as the Monkey Load system carrier, an AXA Solid Plus frame lock, SKS PET A60 mudguards and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 stand round off the overall package. The Montfoort F7 is priced at EUR 2999, making it an attractive choice for anyone looking for a reliable and well-equipped eCity bike.
