Hercules Montfoort F7

The "Montfoort F7" model from Hercules, released in 2022, is a bicycle priced at 2,799 EUR, placing it in the mid-range price bracket. It features a sturdy Tour NL aluminium frame (AL 6061), which has a maximum load capacity of 135 kg and weighs 27 kg itself. The Magura HS-11 hydraulic rim brakes, together with the matching brake levers, ensure reliable braking performance. The Shimano Revoshifter gear lever allows for easy gear changes.

The SR Suntour NEX-E25 fork offers an adjustable travel of 63 mm, ensuring comfort on a variety of surfaces. To ensure visibility on the road, the bike is fitted with a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light, which emits up to 40 lux, as well as a Busch & Müller Toplight 2C rear light on the luggage rack. The Marwi SP-827 pedals are non-slip and provide a secure grip.

Power is transmitted via a KMC Z1EHX chain, and the crankset is an FSA CK-220. The Kalloy Tour aluminium handlebars measure 660 mm and have a 37° backsweep, which promotes a comfortable riding position. The grips are ergonomically designed and feature an integrated clamp. The adjustable Kalloy AL-822 stem allows for individual adjustments.

The bike is fitted with Ryde ZAC 19SL rims and Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres, which offer puncture protection thanks to GreenGuard technology. The Shimano T3000 front hub with quick-release and the Shimano Nexus 7-speed rear hub with freehub ensure efficient power transfer. The Selle Royal Freeway City saddle, together with the Kalloy SP-383 seatpost, which offers 45 mm of suspension travel, ensures a high level of seating comfort.

Additional features include SKS plastic mudguards, a closed Hesling Ride 1.3 chain guard and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand. An AXA Solid Plus lock with a battery-powered lock featuring the same key and ‘ART2’ certification provides security. The i-Rack system luggage rack with a tension strap is practical for carrying luggage.

Power is provided by a Bosch Active Plus GEN3 motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 50 Nm. Power is supplied by a Bosch luggage rack battery with a capacity of 400 Wh, which is charged via a Bosch 2A charger. The bike is fitted with a Bosch Intuvia display, which clearly shows all the key information. The bike’s geometry features a reach of 383 mm and a stack of 631 mm, ensuring a balanced riding position.
