Hercules Lyon R7

The Hercules Lyon R7, a 2022 model, offers a combination of functionality and comfort at a price of 2,399 euros. The frame is made from Tour Basic AL 6061 aluminium, which contributes to the bike’s stability and durability. With a maximum load capacity of 135 kg and a kerb weight of 25 kg, the Lyon R7 is suitable for a wide range of riders.

The Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes, together with the Magura HS-11 brake levers, ensure reliable braking performance. The SR Suntour CR85 fork, with an adjustable travel of 63 mm, offers additional comfort on uneven terrain. The bike is fitted with a Shimano Revoshifter, which enables easy and precise gear changes. The FSA CK-220 crankset and the Shimano 18T sprocket form part of the drivetrain, which is complemented by the KMC Z610 chain.

Lighting is provided by the Comus F16 LED front light, delivering up to 25 lux, and the Comus R99 LED rear light mounted on the luggage rack, ensuring safety when cycling at dusk or in the dark. The SUPERO Optima Safe tyres, size 50-622, offer good grip and stability. The front hub is a Formula OV-31 quick-release hub, whilst the rear is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub with a coaster brake.

The touring handlebars with a 37° backsweep and the Ergo grips with integrated clamping offer comfortable handling. The adjustable A-head stem and the integrated headset contribute to the bike’s adaptability. The DDK Foaming saddle, combined with the Kalloy SP-F102 seatpost, ensures additional seating comfort.

The Lyon R7 is powered by an Active GEN3 motor with 250 watts and 40 Nm of torque. The Bosch Standard battery, with a capacity of 500 Wh, ensures a sufficient range, whilst the Bosch Purion display provides all the essential information. The charger is a Bosch 2A model. With a reach of 389 mm and a stack of 657 mm, the bike is designed for a comfortable riding position.
