Hercules Lyon F7

The 2024 Lyon F7 model from Hercules presents itself as a versatile eCity bike that is equipped with a variety of sophisticated technical features. With a price tag of EUR 2699, it offers an attractive price-performance ratio for urban commuters and leisure cyclists. The frame is made from the robust eCity Series, manufactured from AL6061, and ensures stability and durability. The permissible total weight of the bike is 135 kg, while its own weight is 25 kg.

The Lyon F7 is ideal for riders between 170 cm and 175 cm tall. Safety is ensured by hydraulic disc brakes from Tektro, with a front brake disc of 180 mm and a rear disc of 160 mm. These offer reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gearing is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed with freewheel, which is operated via a Shimano SG-C3001-7 gear lever and offers easy handling.

The SR Suntour CR85 fork with 63 mm travel and adjustable suspension ensures comfort on uneven roads. The lighting includes a Comus FS-30 front light with up to 30 lux and a Comus R-232 rear light with COB LED technology, which ensures good visibility in traffic. The drive is provided by a KMC Z610 chain in conjunction with an FSA CK-220 crankset and a Shimano 19T sprocket.

The handlebars are an aluminium Tour model with a 37° backsweep, which together with the ergonomic grips ensures a comfortable riding position. The adjustable Kalloy AL-822 stem allows you to customise the handlebar position. The Supero Optima Safe tyres in size 50-622 offer good grip and puncture protection, while the Strongman DDM-2 rims ensure robustness.

For comfort, the bike is equipped with a City DDK-225A2 Foaming saddle mounted on a Kalloy SP-F102 seat post. Practical features such as plastic mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, a Standwell kickstand and a Monkey Load pannier rack with spring flap round off the equipment.

The Lyon F7 is powered by an Active Line Smart System motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 40 Nm. The Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 545 Wh ensures sufficient range for everyday use. The Bosch Purion 200 display provides all important information at a glance. The Bosch charger with 2A enables efficient charging of the battery.

In terms of geometry, the bike offers a reach of 390 mm and a stack of 662 mm, which supports a comfortable riding position. The seat tube length is 520 mm, while the top tube has a length of 605 mm. The head tube angle is 68 degrees and the seat tube angle is 72 degrees, which contributes to a balanced riding behaviour. With a wheelbase length of 1174 mm and a chainstay length of 505 mm, the Lyon F7 offers stability and agility in urban environments.
