Hercules Futura Sport I-10

The 2021 Hercules Futura Sport I-10 is a versatile e-bike that is ideal for trekking tours and is priced at 3,399 euros. The bike’s frame is made from aluminium from the Trekking Sport Series and is optimised for the integration of the Bosch Powertube battery. With a maximum permissible weight of 135 kg and a kerb weight of 26 kg, the bike offers a solid and stable base for long rides.

The Futura Sport I-10 is equipped with a Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brake, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and a 180 mm front brake disc, ensures reliable braking power. The gear system features the Shimano Deore RD-M5120 rear derailleur and Shimano Deore SL-M4100 shift levers, enabling precise gear changes.

Comfort is provided by the SR Suntour NEX-E25 fork with 63 mm of travel, which is also adjustable. The lighting comprises a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light with up to 40 lux and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light mounted on the luggage rack. The pedals are made of aluminium, whilst the crankset is an FSA CK-320 and the drivetrain uses a KMC X10E chain.

The adjustable A-head stem and the integrated tapered headset contribute to flexibility and stability. The bike is fitted with WEB 19 rims and Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres, which offer high puncture resistance thanks to GreenGuard technology.

The front hub is a Shimano TX505 and the rear a Shimano FH-RM35, both featuring quick-release mechanisms and Centre Lock. The Selle Bassano Volare Icon saddle and the Kalloy SP-383 seatpost with 45 mm travel offer additional comfort on longer rides.

Practical features such as Curana Apollo 60 mudguards, a Horn Catena 17 chain guard, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and an ABUS IT2.1 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder round off the specification. The i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap provides additional storage space for luggage.

The Futura Sport I-10 is powered by a Bosch Performance CX GEN4 motor with 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch Powertube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface for controlling the e-bike system.
