Hercules Futura Max I-12

The "Futura Max I-12" model from Hercules, launched in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is from the Aluminium Trekking Sport Series, made from AL 6061, and its Powertube construction provides a modern and stable foundation. The maximum load capacity is 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 28 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brakes, complemented by Shimano BL-MT401 brake levers and a 180 mm front brake disc (Shimano SM-RT54). The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano Deore RD-M6100 rear derailleur and the Shimano Deore SL-M6100 shifter, enabling precise gear changes. The SR Suntour MOBIE E-25 fork, with 63 mm of travel and a lockout function, provides additional comfort on uneven terrain.

The Futura Max I-12’s lighting comprises a powerful HERCULES FH 100 LED front light with up to 100 lux and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light, which is mounted on the luggage rack. The Marwi SP828 aluminium pedals, the FSA CK-220 crankset and the Shimano Deore CS-M6100 cassette (10-51T) complete the drivetrain, supported by the KMC X12E chain.

The bike is fitted with a trekking handlebar featuring a 15° backsweep and Ergo grips with integrated clamps. The stem is adjustable, allowing for personalised customisation. The rims are Ryde Andra 40, combined with Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus tyres (55-622) for outstanding performance and puncture protection.

The front hub is a Shimano MT400 with a 15 mm thru-axle and the rear hub is a Shimano MT401 with a quick-release, both featuring the Centerlock system. The Selle Bassano Suprema 3Zone City saddle, combined with the BySchulz G2 seatpost (350 mm long, 30 mm travel), offers a high level of comfort.

Additional features such as SKS EDGE AL C 66 R mudguards, a Horn Catena 17 chain guard, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and an i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap make the Futura Max I-12 a practical everyday companion. Security is enhanced by an ABUS IT3 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder.

Power is provided by the Bosch Performance CX BES3 motor, powered by a Bosch Powertube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The Bosch Kiox 300 display offers intuitive control and shows all relevant ride data. The Bosch 4A charger ensures the battery charges quickly.
