Hercules Futura Max I-10 ABS

The "Futura Max I-10 ABS" by Hercules, launched in 2023, is a modern e-trekking bike available for 5499 EUR. The frame is made from R22-series aluminium (AL 6061), giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. Weighing 28 kg and with a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, it is both stable and durable.

Braking safety is ensured by the Magura CT eStop ABS system with hydraulic disc brakes, fitted with 180 mm Magura MDR-C brake discs at both the front and rear. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Deore RD-M5120 10-speed derailleur, controlled by the Shimano Deore SL-M4100 shifter. This enables precise and reliable gear changes.

The SR Suntour MOBIE 34 ABS fork, with 63 mm of travel and air suspension, ensures comfort and control on uneven terrain. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a Hercules FF-100 front light with a daytime running light sensor and high-beam function (up to 150 lux), as well as a Busch & Müller Toplight 2C LED rear light.

Other features include Marwi SP828 pedals, an FSA CK-220 crankset, a Shimano Deore CS-M4100 cassette (11–46T) and a KMC X10E drivetrain. The handlebars are a Trekking Zecure model with a 15° backsweep for ergonomic comfort, and the grips feature an integrated clamping system. The adjustable Zecure UP2+ stem allows for individual adjustment of the riding position.

The bike is fitted with Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus tyres (55-622) featuring SmartGuard technology for enhanced puncture protection, mounted on Ryde Andra 40 rims. The hubs are from Formula, with the front hub being a DC-51 (15×100 mm, 6-bolt) and the rear a DC-22 (12 mm thru-axle, 6-bolt).

The Selle Bassano Suprema 3Zone Man saddle, combined with a BySchulz G2 seatpost, offers comfort on longer rides. Practical components such as the Monkey Load luggage rack with spring-loaded flap, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand, a Horn Catena 17 chain guard and SKS EDGE 66 R mudguards round off the spec.

The Futura Max I-10 ABS is powered by a Bosch Performance CX Smart System motor (GEN4) with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm, combined with a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The Bosch Kiox 300 display offers intuitive control and a clear display of ride data. The charger is a Bosch 4 A model.

The bike’s geometry is characterised by a reach of 416 mm, a stack of 634 mm, a seat tube length of 530 mm, a head tube angle of 69 degrees, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees, a head tube length of 170 mm and a wheelbase of 1156 mm. These dimensions contribute to a balanced and comfortable riding position.
