Hercules Futura I-9

The "Futura I-9" model from Hercules, launched in 2024, is a modern e-trekking bike equipped with a wide range of technical features. The frame is from the robust eTrekking R7 Series, made from AL6061, which offers a combination of stability and lightness. With a maximum load capacity of 150 kg and a kerb weight of 26 kg, the bike is suitable for both everyday use and longer rides. The Futura I-9 is designed for riders between 175 cm and 180 cm in height.

The braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, specifically the MT200 models, fitted with a 180 mm front disc and a 160 mm rear disc. These provide reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is a 9-speed Shimano Cues RD-U4000, operated via the SL-U4000R shifter, which allows for precise and easy gear selection.

Comfort is ensured by the SR Suntour NEX-E25 fork with 63 mm of travel, which is also adjustable and features a lockout. The lighting comprises a Hercules front light with up to 50 lux and a Busch & Müller LED rear light, ensuring good visibility. Other features include Marwi SP828 pedals, an FSA CK-320 crankset and a Shimano CS-LG300 cassette.

The handlebars are an aluminium Trekking Zecure model with a 35° backsweep and a width of 640 mm, whilst the stem is an adjustable Zecure UP2+ model. The saddle is the Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Sport Woman model, fitted to a Limotec S1 seatpost with 50 mm of travel. The tyres are Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus in size 50-622, fitted to Rodi Viper 19 rims with Shimano hubs.

The bike is powered by a Performance Line CX Smart System motor, which delivers 250 watts of power and 85 Nm of torque. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh, enabling an impressive range. Controls are via the Bosch Purion 200 display. The Hercules Futura I-9 is priced at 3699 EUR, making it an attractive option for anyone looking for a reliable and powerful e-trekking bike.
