Hercules Futura Fold I-F8 Belt

The “Futura Fold I-F8 Belt” model from Hercules, launched in 2020, is a folding e-bike that stands out for its high-quality features and well-thought-out design. Priced at EUR 3,999, it offers a wide range of technical features that ensure both comfort and performance. The frame is made from R10-series aluminium, specifically designed as a ‘Fold Urban’, and incorporates the Bosch Powertube for a seamless look and improved stability. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 22 kg.

Safety is ensured by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and a 160 mm front brake disc. Gear changes are controlled via a Shimano Revoshifter, which ensures precise gear changes. The rigid aluminium (AL 6061) fork, with a diameter of 1.5", contributes to stability and control. Lighting is provided by a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light with up to 40 lux and an R121 LED rear light for the luggage rack.

The bike is fitted with foldable VP-F55 pedals and a Samox EC38 crankset. Power is transmitted via the low-maintenance Gates CDX sprocket with a 22T sprocket. The handlebars are a Trekking AL model with a 15° backsweep for ergonomic comfort, complemented by Ergo grips with integrated clamps. The stem is made of aluminium, is adjustable and features an ‘All Up’ height adjustment.

The Mach1 650 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Big Apple tyres (50-406), which offer reliable performance thanks to RaceGuard puncture protection. The hubs are by Shimano, with a quick-release front hub and an 8-speed Nexus rear hub for the freewheel. The Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle, together with the Kalloy SP-DC1 seatpost, ensures comfortable rides.

Additional features include Curana Apollo 60 aluminium mudguards, a Gates trouser guard, and a Massload CL-KA56 double-leg stand. The ABUS battery lock with Plus cylinder provides additional security. The i-Rack system carrier with spring-loaded flap offers practical transport solutions.

The motor is an Active Plus GEN3 model with 250 watts of power and 50 Nm of torque, supported by a Bosch Powertube battery with a capacity of 500 Wh. Control is via the Bosch Intuvia display, whilst the 2A charger ensures efficient charging. With a reach of 428 mm and a stack of 514 mm, the Hercules Futura Fold I-F8 Belt offers balanced geometry for a comfortable ride.
