Hercules Futura Fold Carbon I-10

The 2020 Hercules Futura Fold Carbon I-10 is an innovative e-bike that impresses with its combination of lightness, performance and functionality. Priced at 6,199 EUR, it is positioned in the premium segment and features a wide range of high-quality components. The frame is made of carbon and is part of the Carbon Fold Urban R12 series, which not only gives the bike a low weight of 21 kg but also ensures high stability with a maximum load capacity of up to 135 kg.

The Futura Fold Carbon I-10 is equipped with Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, featuring Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and a 160 mm front brake disc. Gear shifting is handled by the Shimano ZEE system in combination with the Shimano Deore SL-M6000 shift lever, ensuring precise gear changes. The rigid carbon fork, with a diameter of 1.5", helps to reduce the overall weight and ensures direct steering.

The lighting system features integrated Busch & Müller ILU front and rear lights, which ensure optimum visibility. The foldable VP-F55 pedals and the FSA CK-8658-1 Hollow Carbon crankset round off the well-thought-out design. Power is transmitted via a KMC X10E chain, whilst the Shimano CS-HG50 cassette, with a range of 11–36T, offers a versatile gear ratio.

The Trekking AL handlebars with a 15° backsweep and the Ergo grips with integrated clamping ensure comfort and ergonomics. The adjustable AL stem with ‘All Up’ height adjustment allows for individual customisation of the riding position. The Mach1 650 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Big Apple tyres, which provide a comfortable ride and good grip.

The bike features Shimano MT400 hubs with Boost technology and thru-axles, as well as black Niro spokes. The Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle, combined with the Kalloy SP-DC1 seatpost, offers a high level of seating comfort. Additional features such as Curana C-Lite mudguards with integrated lighting, an FSA W1086 chain guard, a Massload CL-KA56 double-leg stand and an ABUS battery lock round off the equipment package.

The i-Rack system carrier with spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options. The e-bike is powered by an Evation motor with 250 watts of power and 60 Nm of torque, fuelled by a Fazua Intube battery with a capacity of 252 Wh. The Fazua Remote Controller display allows for easy control of the electric assistance. With a reach of 455 mm and a stack of 433 mm, the Hercules Futura Fold Carbon I-10 offers comfortable geometry for urban use.
