Hercules Futura Compact F5

The "Futura Compact F5" model from Hercules, launched in 2022, is a compact e-bike that stands out thanks to a wide range of technical features and high-quality specifications. The frame is made from Compact Urban AL 6061 aluminium and offers a low step-through, making it easier and more comfortable to get on and off the bike. With a maximum load capacity of 135 kg and a kerb weight of 25 kg, the bike is robust and stable.

The Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, together with the Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and the 180 mm front brake disc, ensure reliable braking power and safety. The bike is fitted with a Shimano Revoshifter, which enables smooth and precise gear changes. The rigid aluminium fork, with a diameter of 1.5 inches, contributes to stability and control.

Lighting is provided by a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light with a brightness of up to 40 lux, whilst the Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light on the luggage rack ensures visibility from behind. The Wellgo pedals and the FSA CK-220 crankset with Gates CDX drive offer efficiency and durability. The sprocket is a Gates CDX 28T, which is a low-maintenance solution.

The Kalloy HB-TR-2 handlebars, with a 25° backsweep, and the Ergo grips with integrated clamping provide comfort on longer rides. The Satori UP2+ stem is adjustable and allows for individual adjustment of the handlebar height thanks to the ‘All Up’ height adjustment system. The rims are DDM-1 and the tyres are Schwalbe Big Ben Performance with RaceGuard, which ensure good road holding.

The Shimano hubs – a quick-release hub at the front and a Nexus 5-speed freewheel at the rear – offer flexibility and reliability. The Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle, together with the Kalloy SP-DC1 seatpost, provides additional comfort. Plastic mudguards from SKS, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard and a Standwell kickstand complete the specification.

An ABUS battery lock with a Plus cylinder provides security for the built-in Bosch Standard battery with a capacity of 500 Wh. The battery powers the Performance Cruise GEN3 motor, which delivers 250 watts of power and 65 Nm of torque. The Bosch Intuvia display provides all the necessary information whilst riding. A Bosch 2A charger is included.
