Hercules Futura Compact 10

The "Futura Compact 10" from Hercules, launched in 2021, is a versatile e-bike designed for both everyday urban use and longer rides. Priced at 3299 EUR, it offers a solid range of features and modern technology. The bike’s frame is made from Aluminium Compact Urban (AL 6061) and features a low step-through design, which makes getting on and off the bike more comfortable. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 135 kg, whilst it weighs 25 kg.

Safety is ensured by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers and a 180 mm Shimano SM-RT10 front brake disc, guarantee reliable braking performance. The gear system is supported by the Shimano Deore M5120 and the Shimano Deore SL-M4100 shift lever, enabling precise gear changes. The rigid aluminium fork contributes to the bike’s stability.

Lighting is provided by a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light with a brightness of up to 40 lux and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light mounted on the luggage rack, ensuring good visibility in the dark. The Wellgo pedals and the FSA CK-220 crankset are further signs of the bike’s high quality. Power is transmitted via a KMC E10S chain, whilst the Shimano Deore CS-M4100 cassette (11-46T) provides the gear ratio.

The Kalloy HB-TR-2 handlebars, with a 25° backsweep, combined with the Ergo grips, ensure a comfortable hand position. The Satori UP2+ stem is adjustable, allowing for individual customisation of the handlebar height. The DDM-1 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Big Ben Performance tyres, which ensure good road holding. The Shimano RM35 hubs are fitted with quick-release skewers and Centre Lock, making maintenance easier.

The Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle and the Kalloy SP-DC1 seatpost offer additional comfort on longer rides. Practical features such as SKS plastic mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard and a Standwell kickstand round off the specification. Security is provided by an ABUS battery lock with a Plus cylinder.

The e-bike is powered by a Performance Cruise GEN3 motor with 250 watts of power and 65 Nm of torque. The Bosch Standard battery, with a capacity of 500 Wh, supplies the system with power, whilst the Bosch Intuvia display clearly shows all the important information. The Bosch 2A charger ensures efficient recharging of the battery. With a reach of 420 mm and a stack of 623 mm, the Futura Compact 10 offers a comfortable riding position. The i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap allows for easy transport of luggage.
