Hercules Futura Comp I-F5

The "Futura Comp I-F5" model from Hercules, launched in 2022, is a versatile e-bike that stands out for its robust components and well-thought-out features. Priced at EUR 4,199, it offers a combination of performance and comfort that is suitable for both everyday use and longer rides. The frame is made from aluminium from the Trekking Sport Series with Powertube integration and is designed to withstand a maximum load of 135 kg. The bike’s total weight is 27 kg.

The bike is fitted with Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which provide reliable braking performance. The brake levers are also by Shimano (BL-MT200), and the front brake disc has a diameter of 180 mm (Shimano SM-RT10). The gear lever is a Shimano Revoshifter, which allows for easy and precise gear selection.

The front hub is a Shimano TX505 with quick-release and Centerlock, whilst the rear is a Shimano Nexus 5-speed with a freewheel; together with the black Niro spokes, these ensure a stable and reliable wheel set.

The saddle is a Selle Bassano Volare Icon, mounted on a Kalloy SP-383 aluminium seatpost with 45 mm of travel. The saddle clamp is black and features a quick-release mechanism. Curana Apollo 60 aluminium mudguards offer protection against splash water, whilst the Horn Catena A08 chain guard keeps clothing free from dirt.

A Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, and an integrated ABUS IT2.1 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder offers additional protection against theft. The R-Series i-Rack system carrier with a spring-loaded flap allows for the transport of luggage.

The Futura Comp I-F5 is powered by a fourth-generation Bosch Performance CX motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch Powertube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh, providing sufficient power for long rides. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface for controlling the e-bike system, whilst the Bosch 2A charger handles the recharging.

With a reach of 421 mm and a stack of 634 mm, the Futura Comp I-F5 offers balanced geometry for a comfortable ride. This e-bike is therefore an excellent choice for cyclists who value quality, comfort and versatility.
