Hercules Futura Comp I-12

The 2021 "Futura Comp I-12" from Hercules is a versatile e-bike that is ideal for trekking tours. Priced at 3,999 EUR, it offers a range of high-quality components and technical features that ensure both comfort and performance. The frame is made from the Aluminium Trekking Sport Series with Powertube integration and a tapered head tube, crafted from AL 6061. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brakes, with BL-MT402 brake levers and an SM-RT30 front brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore RD-M6100 with SL-M6100 shift levers, which enable precise and reliable gear changes. The SR Suntour NCX-D LO fork, with 63 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride on uneven terrain.

The lighting system comprises a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light, which provides up to 40 lux, and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear rack light. The pedals are made of aluminium, model Marwi SP828. Power is transmitted via a KMC X12E chain, supported by an FSA CK-320 crankset and a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 cassette with a range of 10–51T.

The handlebars are an aluminium trekking model with a diameter of 31.8 mm, fitted with ergonomic grips featuring an integrated clamp. The adjustable A-head stem and the integrated tapered headset contribute to the bike’s adaptability. The WEB 19 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres, which provide additional safety thanks to GreenGuard technology.

Furthermore, the Futura Comp I-12 features Shimano hubs (front: MT400 and rear: MT410), black Niro spokes and a Selle Bassano Volare Icon saddle. The seatpost is a Kalloy SP-383 made of aluminium with 45 mm of travel. Practical features such as Curana Apollo 60 mudguards, a Horn Catena 17 chain guard and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand are also included.

For added security, an ABUS IT2.1 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder is integrated. The i-Rack luggage rack, featuring a system carrier and spring-loaded flap, provides space for luggage. The bike is powered by a Bosch Performance CX GEN4 motor delivering 250 watts and 85 Nm of torque, fuelled by a Bosch Powertube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display and a Bosch 2A charger complete the specification. With a reach of 419 mm and a stack of 625 mm, the Futura Comp I-12 is ideally suited to long rides and challenging routes.
