Hercules Futura Comp I-11

The "Futura Comp I-11" model from Hercules, launched in 2022, is a versatile e-bike designed specifically for trekking enthusiasts. The frame is from the Aluminium Trekking Sport Series with Powertube integration, crafted from the robust AL 6061 alloy. With a maximum permissible weight of 135 kg and a kerb weight of 26 kg, the bike provides a solid foundation for extended tours.

Reliable braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, featuring BL-MT201 brake levers and a front brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore RD-M5100 system, complemented by the SL-M5100 shifter, enabling precise gear changes. The SR Suntour NCX-D LO fork, with 63 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures comfort and control on uneven terrain.

The lighting system comprises a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light with an output of up to 40 lux and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light, which is mounted on the luggage rack. The drivetrain consists of a KMC X11E drivetrain, whilst the crankset is an FSA CK-320. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M5100 with an 11-51T range.

The handlebars are an AL Trekking model with a diameter of 31.8 mm, fitted with ergonomic grips featuring an integrated clamping mechanism. The stem is adjustable, allowing it to be tailored to individual riding needs, and the headset is integrated and tapered. The rims are WEB 19, fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres in size 50-622, which impress with their GreenGuard technology and high performance.

The front hub is a Shimano TX505 and the rear a Shimano FH-RM35, both fitted with quick-release mechanisms and CentreLock mounts. The saddle is a Selle Bassano Volare Icon model, mounted on a Kalloy SP-383 seatpost with 45 mm of travel. The saddle is clamped in place using a black quick-release mechanism.

Additional features include Curana Apollo 60 aluminium mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and an ABUS IT2.1 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder. The luggage rack is an i-Rack R-Series system rack with a spring-loaded flap.

The Futura Comp I-11 is powered by a Bosch Performance CX GEN4 motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm. The integrated Bosch Powertube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface for controlling the e-bike system.

The bike’s geometry features a reach of 421 mm and a stack of 634 mm, which allows for a balanced riding position. The price for this model is 3,599 euros.
