Hercules E-Joy R7

The Hercules E-Joy R7, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-bike that impresses with its well-designed features and high-quality components. The frame is made from the ISP Series, an intelligent seating position system crafted from AL6061 aluminium, and has a maximum load capacity of 135 kg with a kerb weight of 24 kg. The bike is designed for riders between 165 cm and 195 cm tall, making it suitable for a wide range of users.

The E-Joy R7’s braking system consists of Magura HS22 hydraulic rim brakes fitted at both the front and rear, including the corresponding brake levers. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub gear system with a coaster brake, controlled via the Shimano SG-C3001-7 gear lever. The SR Suntour CR85 fork, with 63 mm of travel, is adjustable and contributes to a comfortable ride.

For lighting, the e-bike is equipped with a Hercules FH 40 LED front light, which offers up to 40 lux of brightness, as well as a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light. The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Plus with SmartGuard technology in size 40-622, fitted to Ryde ZAC 19SL rims with black stainless steel spokes. The hubs are from Shimano: the T3000 model at the front and the Nexus 7-speed hub with coaster brake at the rear.

Power is provided by an Active Line motor with 250 watts and 40 Nm of torque, powered by a Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 400 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display ensures easy operation and a clear overview of ride data. The package is complemented by a Bosch 2A charger.

The E-Joy R7 is ergonomically designed with aluminium touring handlebars, a Selle Royal LookIn Relaxed saddle and a tool-free adjustable stem length of 110 mm. The handlebars are 600 mm wide and have a 37-degree backsweep, allowing for a comfortable riding position. The seatpost has a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm.

Other features include the i-Rack system carrier with a strap, SKS A46 plastic mudguards, a Hesling Move 3.2 chain guard and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand. An AXA Solid Plus lock ensures security. The price for the Hercules E-Joy R7 is €4,199.
