Hercules E-Imperial Max I-F5

The E-Imperial Max I-F5 from Hercules, a 2023 model, is a versatile e-trekking bike priced at 5399 EUR. The frame is made from aluminium from the eTrekking R22 series (AL 6061) and provides a solid foundation for the bike, which has a maximum permissible weight of 180 kg and a kerb weight of 28 kg.

Safety is ensured by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the MT410 models – which are fitted with 180 mm brake discs at both the front and rear. The Shimano BL-MT401 brake levers complement the braking system and ensure reliable braking performance. The bike is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 5-speed gearbox, operated via a Revoshifter, which makes it easy to use.

The SR Suntour MOBIE E-25 fork, with 63 mm of travel, offers comfort on uneven terrain and is air-sprung with a lockout function and a 15 mm thru-axle. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a Hercules front light (FF-100) featuring a daytime running light sensor and a high-beam function delivering up to 150 lux, as well as a Busch & Müller Toplight 2C LED rear light.

Other features include Marwi SP828 aluminium pedals, an FSA CK-220 crankset with a Gates CDX 30T sprocket, and aluminium trekking handlebars with a 15° backsweep. The ergonomic grips with integrated clamping mechanism and the adjustable Zecure UP2+ stem contribute to a comfortable riding position. The Selle Bassano Suprema 3Zone Man saddle is mounted on a BySchulz G2 seatpost, which offers 30 mm of travel.

The bike is fitted with Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus tyres featuring SmartGuard technology and Ryde Andra 40 rims, whilst the hubs are from Shimano. SKS mudguards, a Horn Catena 18 chain guard, a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and an ABUS IT3 battery lock round off the specification. The Monkey Load luggage rack is a system rack with a spring-loaded flap.

The e-bike is powered by a fourth-generation Performance CX Smart System motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 750 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 4 A charger. The Bosch Kiox 300 display provides all the key information whilst riding. With a reach of 428 mm, a stack of 644 mm, a seat tube length of 610 mm and a wheelbase of 1171 mm, the E-Imperial Max I-F5 offers balanced geometry for a comfortable ride.
