GIANT XtC Advanced 2

The “XtC Advanced 2” model from GIANT, released in 2022, is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out for its advanced features and precise build quality. Priced at 2,799 EUR, it offers excellent value for money for ambitious riders.

The frame of the XtC Advanced 2 is made from high-quality full carbon and offers tyre clearance of up to 2.25 inches, as well as a maximum chainring size of 38T. The frame’s geometry is well thought-out and supports a sporty riding style. The frame dimensions include a seat tube length of 380 mm, a top tube length of 595 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees and a seat tube angle of 74 degrees. The reach is 416 mm and the stack is 604 mm, which, together with the 95 mm head tube length and 425 mm chainstay length, ensures a stable and comfortable riding position. The bike’s wheelbase is 1087 mm, which contributes to stability and control.

The bike is fitted with a GIANT Crest 34 RRL fork, which offers 100 mm of travel and provides additional stiffness thanks to the Boost standard (15x110 mm). The braking system consists of Shimano BR-MT500 disc brakes with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors, operated by Shimano BL-MT501 brake levers. The XtC Advanced 2 is fitted with a Shimano SLX M7100 Shadow+ 12-speed groupset, which enables precise and fast gear changes. The shifter is also a Shimano SLX M7100 model. The crankset comprises a Shimano SLX M7120 crank with a 32T chainring and a 55 mm chainline. The bottom bracket is a Shimano Pressfit, and the cassette is a Shimano SLX M7100 with a 10–51T range. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X-12 chain.

Other features of the XtC Advanced 2 include a GIANT Contact SL XC handlebar with a width of 760 mm, GIANT XC Pro grips, a GIANT Contact stem measuring 60 mm in length, and a GIANT Connect seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm. The saddle is a Fizik Antares R7, which offers a high level of comfort.

The wheelsets consist of GIANT XCT rims, which are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 25 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Rekon Race models in the size 29x2.25 inches, which are also supplied as tubeless and feature an EXO protective layer. The hubs are RD02F / ED260-R models and the spokes are from Sapim.
