GIANT TCR Advanced

The 2022 TCR Advanced from GIANT is a high-performance road bike designed for ambitious riders. With a price tag of EUR 2099, it offers an impressive combination of advanced technology and high-quality components. The frame is made of Advanced Carbon and ensures excellent stiffness and low weight at the same time. The maximum tyre clearance is 28 mm, giving the rider flexibility in the choice of tyre width.

The brake system consists of Shimano 105 components, which ensure reliable braking performance. This also includes the brake levers, which also come from Shimano 105. The rear derailleur and front derailleur are part of the Shimano 105 groupset and offer precise and smooth shifting with 11 gears. The gear lever is also a Shimano 105, 2x, which makes it easy to operate.

The fork of the TCR Advanced is made of Advanced full carbon with an OD1 steerer tube, which contributes to improved riding dynamics. The bottom bracket is a Shimano Pressfit, which ensures efficient power transmission. The crankset includes Shimano 105 chainrings with a gradation of 52/36T, while the sprocket covers a range of 11-30T. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X11EL-1 chain.

The handlebars and stem are both from the GIANT Contact series, with the stem measuring 90 mm in length and the handlebars 400 mm in width. The grips are GIANT Stratus Lite 2.0, which ensure comfort on long rides. The rims are GIANT P-R2 and tubeless ready, as are the GIANT Gavia Course 1 tyres in size 700x25c with a TPI of 60. The tyres are supplied tubeless, which reduces the overall weight and increases puncture resistance.

The hubs and spokes are also part of the GIANT P-R2 system. The saddle is a GIANT Approach, which is mounted on a GIANT Variant carbon seatpost. This combination offers comfort and adaptability for different riding styles.

The geometry of the TCR Advanced is designed for performance. With a reach of 383 mm and a stack of 528 mm, the bike offers an aggressive riding position. The seat tube measures 445 mm in length, while the top tube has a length of 535 mm. The head tube angle is 72 degrees and the seat tube angle is 74 degrees, resulting in optimum power transfer and manoeuvrability. The head tube length is 130 mm, the chainstay length is 405 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 70 mm. The fork pre-bend measures 45 mm and the standover height is 722 mm. The crank length is set at 170 mm and the wheelbase totals 977 mm.
