GIANT Talon E+ 3

The "Talon E+ 3" model from the "GIANT" brand from 2022 offers a wide range of technical features and equipment that make it an attractive e-bike for various areas of use. The price of the bike is 2349 EUR.

The frame of the Talon E+ 3 consists of an AluxX frame with 135 mm QR, which ensures a robust yet lightweight structure. For braking performance, Tektro HD-M275 brakes with 180/160 mm discs and the matching Tektro HD-M275 brake levers are installed, ensuring reliable braking in different riding situations.

The gearing consists of a Shimano Alivio M3100 with 9 gears, which is operated via Shimano Altus SL-M2010 shifters. The SR Suntour XCM ATB Coil fork offers a suspension travel of 100 mm and is equipped with QR to increase riding comfort and off-road capability.

The drive system of the Talon E+ 3 comprises the SyncDrive Core motor from Yamaha, which delivers a torque of 50 Nm and is powered by an EnergyPak side-release battery with a capacity of 400 Wh. The display is a RideControl Dash 2in1, which clearly shows all the important information. An EnergyPak Fast Charger with 4A is available for charging the battery.

Other features include aluminium platform pedals, an FSA Comet crankset with an FSA MegaTooth direct-mount 36T chainring and a Shimano Altus CS-HG200 cassette with a gear ratio of 11-36T. The chain is a KMC e.9 Sport, which is specially optimised for e-bikes.

A GIANT Connect TR Riser 31.8 with a 20 mm rise was chosen for the handlebars, which are fitted with GIANT Sole-O grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact with a length of 60 mm and the handlebars are 420 mm wide.

The bike is fitted with GIANT GX03V rims and Maxxis Rekon tyres in size 29x2.4", which provide good grip and stability. The hubs are GIANT eTracker Sport and the spokes are made of stainless steel.

The saddle is a GIANT Sport model, mounted on a GIANT seat post with a diameter of 30.9 mm. The bike is compatible with the GIANT KSA18 kickstand and the GIANT Rack-It Metro (Lite) pannier rack, which increases versatility in everyday use.

The geometry of the frame includes a reach of 381 mm, a stack of 570 mm, a seat tube length of 450 mm and a top tube length of 550 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees and the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. Other dimensions include a head tube length of 135 mm, a chainstay length of 425 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 80 mm, a fork projection of 50 mm, a standover height of 740 mm, a crank length of 170 mm and a wheelbase of 1020 mm.
