GIANT Stance E+ Pro 1

The "Stance E+ Pro 1" model from GIANT, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-mountain bike available for €4,799. The frame consists of an AluxX main frame with a FlexPoint rear triangle and an integrated speed sensor. It offers 120 mm of suspension travel and a 12 x 148 mm axle spacing.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano Deore BR-MT420 (4-piston) brakes with 203 mm discs, controlled by Shimano Deore BL-M4100 brake levers with I-spec EV. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore M6100 Shadow+ 12-speed groupset and a Shimano Deore M6100 shifter, also featuring I-spec EV. An MRP 1X Custom ‘V3’ chain guide ensures additional reliability.

The RockShox Recon Silver RL fork offers 130 mm of travel and is fitted with Motion Control damping and Boost 15x110 mm, specially optimised for e-MTBs. The RockShox Monarch RT rear shock is a high-volume, custom-tuned unit measuring 184x44 mm.

The bike is fitted with flat pedals, a Praxis e-Cadet+ crankset and a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a 10–51T range. Power is transmitted via a KMC e.12 Turbo chain, which is specially optimised for e-bikes.

The handlebars are GIANT Connect TR Riser with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 20 mm rise; the grips are GIANT Tactal single lock-on. The stem is a GIANT Contact, 90 mm long with a handlebar width of 400 mm. The rims are GIANT AM 29", tubeless-ready with an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29X2.5" WT at the front and Maxxis Dissector 29X2.40 at the rear; both are foldable, tubeless and feature EXO protection, although the bike is supplied with inner tubes.

The hubs are Shimano MT410, and the spokes are a combination of Sapim Race and Sapim E-Lite. The saddle is a GIANT Romero, mounted on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm (S:100/M:125/L:150/XL:170). The bike is compatible with the GIANT KSA18 kickstand and the GIANT Rack-It Metro (Lite) luggage rack.

The motor is a SyncDrive Pro, powered by Yamaha, delivering 80 Nm of torque. The battery is an EnergyPak Smart Integrated with a capacity of 625 Wh, controlled via the RideControl Dash 2-in-1 display. Charging is carried out using the EnergyPak Smart Charger Compact, which has an output of 4A.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 375 mm, a stack of 559 mm, a seat tube length of 465 mm and a top tube length of 535 mm. The head tube angle is 72 degrees, the seat tube angle is 74 degrees, the head tube length is 135 mm, the chainstay length is 422 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 80 mm and the fork offset is 53 mm. The standover height is 759 mm and the crank length is 170 mm. The bike’s wheelbase measures 1003 mm in total.
