GIANT Roam EX

The "Roam EX" model from GIANT, released in 2022, is a versatile bike suitable for both city cycling and light off-road riding. The price for this model is 949 EUR. The frame is made from robust AluxX material and has a maximum tyre clearance of 53 mm, providing ample space for wider tyres.

The brakes are Tektro TKD 143 with 160 mm discs, which, together with the Tektro TKD 143 brake levers, ensure reliable and controlled braking power. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Alivio M3100 9-speed cassette and a Shimano Altus M2010 2-speed shifter. The front derailleur is a Shimano Acera, which ensures precise and smooth shifting performance overall.

The SR Suntour NEX HLO coil fork with 63 mm travel and QR (Quick Release) offers additional comfort and control on uneven terrain. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a Busch & Müller OneFive front light (30 lux) and a Busch & Müller Toplight rear light, which ensure good visibility in road traffic.

Pedals are also included, so the bike is ready to ride straight away. The bottom bracket is a cartridge model, known for its durability. The crankset is made from forged alloy with 46/30T chainrings and a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200 with a gear ratio of 11–36T, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X9 chain.

The handlebars are GIANT Connect XC with a width of 680 mm, the grips are GIANT Connect Ergo, and the stem is a GIANT Sport model with a length of 100 mm. The rims are GIANT GX28, fitted with GIANT CrossCut tyres in size 700x42c and 60 TPI, which are supplied with inner tubes. The hubs are also GIANT GX28 Disc, and the spokes are made of stainless steel (14G).

The saddle is a GIANT Sport model, mounted on a GIANT D-Fuse seatpost. A handy GIANT KSA18 kickstand is also included. The bike is compatible with the GIANT Rack-It Metro (Lite) luggage rack.

The frame geometry comprises a reach of 427 mm, a stack of 648 mm, a seat tube length of 550 mm, a top tube length of 625 mm, a head tube angle of 71 degrees and a seat tube angle of 73 degrees. The head tube length is 160 mm, the chainstay length is 450 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 62 mm and the fork offset is 42 mm. The standover height is 827 mm, the crank length is 175 mm and the wheelbase measures 1125 mm in total.
