GIANT Reign E+ 3

The 2022 GIANT Reign E+ 3 is a high-performance e-mountain bike that stands out for its high-quality components and robust construction. The price for this model is 5,199 EUR. It features an AluxX SL main frame with a Maestro rear triangle and Flip-Chip geometry, a carbon rocker arm and an integrated speed sensor. The frame offers 160 mm of travel and a 12 x 148 mm axle spacing, ensuring stability and control.

The braking system consists of Shimano Deore BR-M4120 (4-piston) brakes with 203 mm discs and Shimano Deore BL-M4100 brake levers, which are integrated via the I-spec EV system. The drivetrain features a Shimano Deore M6100 Shadow+ 12-speed system, complemented by Shimano Deore M6100 shifters, also with I-spec EV integration. Chain guidance is provided by an MRP 1X HD2Custom chain guide.

The suspension on the Reign E+ 3 consists of a RockShox Domain fork with Motion Control damping and 170 mm of travel, as well as a Fox Float DPS Performance EVOL shock, which is individually tuned and features a trunnion mount with dimensions of 205x62.5 mm. The pedals are flat pedals.

The crankset is a Praxis e-Cadet+ with a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette consists of a Shimano Deore CS-M6100-12 with a 10–51T range. The drivetrain is complemented by a KMC e.12 Turbo chain with an EcoProteq coating, optimised for e-bikes.

The bike’s cockpit comprises a GIANT Contact 35 Trail handlebar with a 20 mm rise and a width of 440 mm, GIANT Tactal single lock-on grips and a GIANT Contact SL 35 stem with a length of 110 mm. The rims are GIANT AM 29"/27.5" Tubeless Ready with an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" (folding, tubeless, EXO+, 3c MaxxTerra) at the front and Maxxis Highroller II 27.5 x 2.5" (folding, tubeless, DoubleDown, 3C MaxxTerra) at the rear, although the bike is supplied with inner tubes as standard.

The hubs are Shimano MT410 and the spokes are a combination of Sapim Race and Sapim E-Lite. The saddle is a GIANT Romero model, mounted on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm (available in lengths S: 125 mm, M: 150 mm, L/XL: 170 mm).

The bike is powered by a Yamaha SyncDrive Pro2 motor with a torque of 85 Nm, which is powered by an EnergyPak Smart Integrated battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The system is EnergyPak Plus-compatible and can be charged using a 6A EnergyPak Smart Charger. The display is SG Display-compatible and supports RideDash Plus, RideControl GO+ and RideControl Ergo 3.
