GIANT Reign E+ 1

The "Reign E+ 1" model from GIANT, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-mountain bike designed for demanding off-road adventures. The price for this model is 7,999 EUR.

The Reign E+ 1’s frame consists of an AluxX SL main frame with a Maestro rear triangle and Flip-Chip geometry. It also features a carbon derailleur hanger and an integrated speed sensor. The frame offers 160 mm of suspension travel and is fitted with a SRAM UDH derailleur hanger. It is compatible with the EnergyPak Plus, although not in size S.

The braking system comprises SRAM Code R brakes with 4-piston calipers and brake discs measuring 220 mm at the front and 200 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also SRAM Code R. Shifting is handled by a 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle AXS system, controlled via a SRAM AXS Rocker Paddle shifter. An MRP 1X HD2 chain guide is also integrated.

Front suspension is provided by a FOX 38 Float Performance Elite fork with GRIP2 VVC damping and 170 mm of travel. This fork is optimised for e-bikes and comes with a mudguard. At the rear is a FOX Float X2 Performance Elite shock with EVOL technology, which is specially tuned and features a TrunnionMount attachment.

The bike is fitted with flat pedals and features a Praxis e-Cadet+ crankset with a Praxis Wave 36T chainring. The cassette is an SRAM GX XG-1275 with a range of 10–52T. Power is transmitted via an SRAM GX Eagle PowerLock system.

The handlebars are GIANT Contact 35 SL Trail with a 20 mm rise, whilst the grips are GIANT Tactal Pro single lock-on. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL 35.

The wheels feature GIANT e-TRX 2 carbon rims, measuring 29" at the front and 27.5" at the rear; they are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" at the front and Maxxis Highroller II 27.5 x 2.5" at the rear; both are foldable, tubeless and feature special rubber compounds for maximum grip and durability. The hubs and spokes are also from GIANT e-TRX 2.

The saddle is a GIANT Romero Trail, mounted on a TranzX Vario seatpost with an adjustment range that varies depending on frame size (S: 120–150 mm, M: 140–170 mm, L/XL: 170–200 mm).

Power is provided by a GIANT SyncDrive Pro2 motor, supported by Yamaha, which delivers a torque of 85 Nm. The battery is a GIANT EnergyPak Smart Integrated with a capacity of 800 Wh and is compatible with the EP Plus RangeExtender. The bike features an SG & ANT+ compatible display and comes with a GIANT EnergyPak SmartCharger, which offers a charging current of 6A.

In addition, the Reign E+ 1 comes with a tubeless kit containing sealant, valves, tyre levers, a valve core remover and instructions.
