GIANT Propel Advanced SL LTD

The 2022 Propel Advanced SL LTD from GIANT is a state-of-the-art road bike that stands out for its advanced technology and precision craftsmanship. Priced at 7,799 EUR, this model is aimed at ambitious cyclists who prioritise performance and efficiency.

The Propel Advanced SL LTD’s frame is made from Advanced SL Carbon and, with a maximum tyre clearance of 30 mm, offers sufficient space for a variety of tyre options. The fork is also made from full Advanced SL carbon and features an OD2 steerer tube and a 12x100 mm axle.

The brakes and brake levers are from SRAM and are of the Force eTap AXS HRD type, fitted with 160/140 mm disc brakes that ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain is also from SRAM; the Force eTap AXS system offers a 12-speed drivetrain, along with a 2-speed shifter and a Force eTap AXS front derailleur. The crankset is a SRAM Force D1 with 48/35T chainrings and an integrated Quarq D-Zero power metre, whilst the bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB Pressfit.

The drivetrain comprises a SRAM Force D1 cassette with a 10–28T range. The handlebars and stem are both from the GIANT Contact series; the handlebars are a Contact SLR Aero Carbon model and the stem is a Contact SL Aero with a length of 100 mm. The handlebar width is 420 mm. The grips are GIANT Stratus Lite 2.0.

The rims are GIANT SLR 1 Disc Carbon, tubeless-ready, with a rim height of 42/65 mm. The tyres are CADEX Race, 700x25c, also Tubeless Ready with 170 TPI, and are supplied tubeless. The hubs and spokes are also part of the GIANT SLR 1 Disc system.

The saddle is a GIANT Fleet SLR, mounted on an Advanced SL Carbon seatpost with integrated ISP (Integrated Seat Post). The frame geometry is well thought out: The reach is 383 mm, the stack 545 mm, the seat tube length 740 mm, the top tube length 550 mm, the head tube angle and seat tube angle both 73 degrees, the head tube length 145 mm, the chainstay length is 405 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 68 mm, the fork offset is 45 mm, the top tube height is 787 mm and the crank length is 173 mm. The wheelbase measures 976 mm in total.
