GIANT Propel Advanced SL

The 2022 "Propel Advanced SL" model from GIANT is a state-of-the-art road bike that stands out thanks to its advanced technology and high-quality components. The price for this model is 7,899 EUR. The frame is made from Advanced SL carbon and offers tyre clearance of up to 30 mm. The fork is also made from full Advanced SL carbon and features an OD2 steerer tube with a 12x100 mm threading.

Braking and gear changes are handled by the SRAM Force eTap AXS electronic system. The brakes are hydraulic disc brakes, measuring 160 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear. The drivetrain is a 12-speed system operated via dual-shift levers. The front derailleur and bottom bracket are also from the SRAM Force eTap AXS range, with the bottom bracket being a SRAM DUB Pressfit unit.

The crankset is a SRAM Force D1 with 48/35T chainrings and an integrated Quarq D-Zero power metre. The cassette is a SRAM Force with a 10–28T range. The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM Force D1 rear derailleur.

The bike’s cockpit consists of GIANT Contact SLR Aero Carbon handlebars and GIANT Stratus Lite 2.0 grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL Aero with a length of 120 mm, whilst the handlebars have a width of 440 mm.

The wheels feature GIANT SLR 1 Disc carbon rims, which are tubeless-ready and have a rim height of 42 mm at the front and 65 mm at the rear. The tyres are CADEX Race 700x25c, also tubeless-ready with a 170 TPI casing, and are supplied tubeless. The hubs and spokes are also from the GIANT SLR 1 Disc series.

The saddle is a GIANT Fleet SLR, mounted on an Advanced SL Carbon seatpost with an integrated seat tube (ISP). The frame geometry comprises a reach of 412 mm, a stack of 595 mm, a seat tube length of 820 mm and a top tube length of 605 mm. The head tube angle is 73 degrees, the seat tube angle 72 degrees. The head tube measures 200 mm, the chainstay length is 405 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 65 mm. The fork offset is 45 mm and the standover height is 843 mm. The crank length is 175 mm and the wheelbase measures 1021 mm in total.
