GIANT Explore E+ Pro 1

The "Explore E+ Pro 1" model from GIANT, released in 2022, is a versatile e-bike available for €4,299. The bike’s frame is an AluxX frame with an integrated speed sensor and is EnergyPak Plus compatible (GTS version only). The frame features a 12x142 mm axle mount, which provides additional stability.

The Explore E+ Pro 1 is fitted with Shimano BR-MT410 brakes with 180 mm discs, operated by Shimano BL-M4100 brake levers featuring the I-spec EV system. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore M5120 Shadow+ 11-speed system, precisely controlled by Shimano Deore M5100 shifters with the I-spec EV system. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Deore M5100 model.

The SR Suntour NCX D AIR LO fork offers 63mm of travel and a 15x100mm axle mount, ensuring a comfortable ride. Safety on the road is ensured by the Axa BlueLine Steady E6 front and rear lights with a luminous intensity of 30 lux.

The bike is fitted with aluminium platform pedals, and the crankset is made from forged aluminium with 48–36T chainrings. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M5100 with a gear ratio of 11–42T. Power is transmitted via a KMC e.11 Sport chain, which is specially optimised for e-bikes.

The handlebars are GIANT Connect XC Riser 31.8 with a 19 mm rise and GIANT Contact Ergo Max Plus grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact model with a length of 70 mm, and the handlebars are 440 mm wide.

The rims are GIANT eX 2 Tubeless Ready and the tyres are GIANT Crosscut Gravel 2 in size 700x45c (622x45), also Tubeless Ready and featuring reflective strips for increased visibility. The hubs are GIANT eTracker and the spokes are Sapim Race / Sapim E-Lite.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo Ergo Moderate unisex model and the seatpost has a diameter of 30.9 mm. The bike is also fitted with a GIANT KSA18 kickstand and a MIK luggage rack.

The motor is a Yamaha SyncDrive Pro model with a torque of 80Nm, powered by an EnergyPak Smart Integrated battery with a capacity of 625Wh. The bike is EnergyPak Plus compatible and comes with an EnergyPak Smart Charger, a 6A charger. The display is a RideDash EVO model, combined with RideControl Ergo controls.

The bike’s geometry features a reach of 387 mm, a stack of 586 mm, a seat tube length of 470 mm, a top tube length of 560 mm, a head tube angle of 72 degrees, a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, a head tube length of 150 mm, a chainstay length of 425 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 80 mm, a fork offset of 50 mm, a standover height of 757 mm, a crank length of 173 mm and a wheelbase of 1026 mm.
