Ghost E-Teru Advanced EQ

The “E-Teru Advanced EQ” model from the Ghost brand, launched in 2023, offers an impressive combination of high-performance technology and well-thought-out design. Priced at 4,199 EUR, this e-bike is positioned in the premium segment and is aimed at discerning riders who value quality and reliability.

The frame of the E-Teru Advanced EQ is made from robust aluminium (ALUMINIUM ETERU AL), which gives the bike both stability and a moderate weight. For the brakes, Ghost has opted for the Shimano BRMT420 system with 203 mm discs, which, in combination with the Shimano BLM4100 brake levers, offer excellent braking performance and control.

The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano XT Linkglide RDM8130 11S, which enables precise and reliable gear changes across 11 gears. The front fork, an SR Suntour XCR34 Air Boost LOR DS, offers sufficient comfort and control on uneven terrain with 100 mm of travel.

The lighting system comprises the Herrmans HBlack MR4 front light and the Axa Juno EBike rear light, which ensure good visibility and safety in road traffic. The model’s pedals are the VPE527 type, whilst the crankset is a Miranda Virage 38T. The cassette is a Shimano XT Linkglide CSLG60011 1150, which, together with the Shimano CNLG500 chain, ensures an efficient drivetrain.

The handlebars, a Ground Fiftyone model with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 740 mm, combined with the MTB grips and the adjustable Ground Fiftyone stem, provide a comfortable and ergonomic riding position. The headset comprises Feimin FPH858U and Acros Blocklock components.

The wheels are fitted with Schürmann Yak Disc 25 rims, held in place by Sapim spokes. The hubs are a Shimano HBMT400B at the front (15x110 mm) and a Shimano FHMT400B at the rear (12x148 mm). The tyres are Schwalbe Johnny Watts 2.35, which provide good grip and stability.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Vivo model, mounted on a Ghost seatpost with a diameter of 34.9 mm. The saddle clamp is also by Ghost. The bike also features mudguards, an Ursus Mooi kickstand and a luggage rack (carrier).

The E-Teru Advanced EQ is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which is fed by a Bosch Power Tube battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The Bosch Kiox 300 display shows all the key information, whilst the Bosch Charger 4 Ah charger ensures rapid charging.

The bike’s geometry offers a balanced mix of comfort and agility: a reach of 482 mm, a stack of 690 mm, a seat tube length of 600 mm and a top tube length of 680 mm ensure a comfortable riding position. The head tube angle is 68 degrees, the seat tube angle 74 degrees, the head tube length 180 mm and the chainstay length 465 mm. The bottom bracket drop is 60 mm and the crank length 170 mm. The bike’s wheelbase measures 1246 mm in total.
