GASGAS G Trekking 2.0 Wave

The 2022 “G Trekking 2.0 Wave” from GASGAS is a versatile e-bike that stands out for its robust construction and high-quality features. The frame is a 27.5-inch 6061 alloy construction with an integrated battery and Boost technology, supporting a maximum rider weight of up to 130 kg. Reliable braking performance is provided by Tektro Vela hydraulic disc brakes with a 2-piston system, fitted with 180 mm Tektro TR24 brake discs at both the front and rear.

The gear system is provided by the Shimano Deore LG, RD-M5130 with Shadow Plus technology, controlled via a Shimano Deore SL-M5130 Rapidfire Plus shifter. The SR SUNTOUR Mobie-A32 NLO fork offers 75 mm of travel, providing extra comfort on uneven trails. Lighting is provided by the Herrmans MR4 front light with 120 lumens and a parking light, as well as the AXA Blueline E rear light with a parking light.

The bike is fitted with GASGAS aluminium pedals and a GASGAS EC40 crankset. The Shimano CS-LG400 sprocket offers a gear ratio of 11–43T, whilst power is transmitted via a Shimano CN-LG500 chain. The handlebars, a GASGAS Riser with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 640 mm, feature a 35-degree sweep and a 20 mm rise, complemented by ergonomic GASGAS screw-on grips.

The stem is adjustable and the headset is a R Raymon ZS44/ZS56. The Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres, measuring 27.5 x 2.1 inches, offer good grip and stability on a variety of surfaces. The Mach1 TRUCKY 30 rims are eyelet-style and held together by Mach1 stainless steel spokes, which are fitted to GASGAS hubs.

The saddle, a GASGAS Ergo model, sits on a GASGAS seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 300 mm. The Eurofender Tempo mudguard set protects against splash water, whilst the Ursus MOOI rear stand ensures stability when stationary. A GASGAS Tour luggage rack with MIK system can carry loads of up to 15 kg.

The bike is powered by a Yamaha PW-ST motor with an output of 250 W and a torque of 70 Nm. The Simplo Tube battery, with a capacity of 630 Wh and a voltage of 36 V, ensures sufficient range, supported by a Simplo fast charger with a charging current of 4 A. Control is via the Yamaha Display C LCD screen with a Micro-USB port.

In terms of geometry, the bike has a reach of 471 mm, a stack of 633 mm and a seat tube length of 440 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, whilst the seat tube angle is 74 degrees. The head tube length is 150 mm, the chainstay length is 465 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 60 mm and the wheelbase measures 1194 mm in total. The price for this versatile trekking e-bike is 3,499 EUR.
