GASGAS G Trail 1.0

The 2022 "G Trail 1.0" model from GASGAS is a versatile e-mountain bike that, at a price of €3,699, is positioned in the mid-range segment. It features a robust 6061 aluminium frame with 29-inch wheels and an integrated battery. The frame offers 130 mm of suspension travel and is designed for a total weight of up to 130 kg, making it a solid choice for a wide variety of riding conditions.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro Draco hydraulic disc brakes, which are fitted with 2-piston calipers at both the front and rear. The Clarks brake discs, with a diameter of 180 mm and a 6-hole design, guarantee reliable deceleration and control. The gear components are from Shimano, featuring a Deore LG RD-M5130 rear derailleur and Rapidfire Plus shifters, which enable precise and smooth gear changes across 10 speeds.

Suspension is provided by the SR SUNTOUR XCR34 Boost fork with air suspension and remote lockout, as well as the SR SUNTOUR Raidon R shock, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. The drivetrain is powered by a Yamaha PW-ST motor with 250 W and a torque of 70 Nm, whilst the Yamaha ML500 battery, with a capacity of 500 Wh, ensures a decent range. The Yamaha LCD display allows for easy monitoring of ride data.

Further features include GASGAS aluminium pedals, a forged GASGAS EC40 crankset, and a Shimano CS-LG400 sprocket with a 11-43T gear ratio. The handlebars are GASGAS risers with a 6-degree sweep and a 15 mm rise, whilst the GASGAS MTB screw-on grips provide a secure grip. The tyres are Continental Cross King in size 29x2.3, fitted to Mach 1 TRUCKY 30 rims, which are tubeless-ready.

The bike’s geometry offers a reach of 435 mm, a stack of 615 mm and a head tube angle of 66 degrees, resulting in a balanced riding position. With a seat tube length of 420 mm and a wheelbase of 1223 mm, the bike offers both stability and agility.
